I am on Prednisone now. I have also folic acid, iron. I found that magnesium bisglycinate helps to slow aiha a little bit. One pill of magnesium per day. I am eating lots of fruit and veggies. I am stable for now. It's been a year since I discovered (the doctor discovered, not me obviously) this but I am fine now.

Advice that I can give you is to do blood screening every month to be sure and safe

My hematologist told me that I have plenty of iron, so don't need to take any. But I do take folic acid and b-12 and b complex.

So first they tried iron tablets but no luck. Then I had a combo of immune suppressants and steroids. Now they are just testing my blood every 2 weeks and giving me serum iron/ blood transfusion as and when I need it (which is pretty much ever 3 months). Waiting to see a rheumatologist who my gp says might be able to do more to help.
