i am personally okay with prednisone now, is a low dose between 10 - 15 mg but the AIHA has some patterns that even when hg is at 10 i just sometimes find myself tired half the day and then i start to feel good again. sometimes i just feel tired and my brain doesn't work all day. i feel like this condition has some hidden aspects that i dont understand. even when hg levels are good i still feel weird symptoms. i am not sure , i will observe to try and figure out what is happening.
also the omeprazole two times a day and high dose pred in the first two months had reduced my physical strength considerably.
apparently, physical effort reduces my hg levels, it dropped 1 point in February when i was out and active. so now i take things slow and do easy things.
doctors said that it might drop from stress too so i try to be not stressed and to be happy.
i take folic acid everyday and one iron tablet. the iron tablet helps to keep hg levels stable and to not drop which i find it good.
now that is summer i will take the rest of this june and the july for me to focus on myself and i intend to chill, read books, drink tea, have peace and do light exercise and just relax. i will do massage in the evening when i go to sleep cuz it helps me a lot, it helped me with sleep when i had insomnia from 40 mg pred.
in the first 2 months i did light exercise and massage before sleep and i did not felt stressed and hg levels reached 11.4 or something like that.
then i didn't do it anymore and i also went out a few times per week to different places and it took a lot of energy and hg dropped 1 point because of that .
that made me sad but it learned to take things slow and refocus on myself.
i am aware that is a rare and serious disease and i need to take care of me cuz if i don't then hg levels will drop and i will have to increase pred dose and 2 omez per day and i dont like that situation but is something to do. so i try to keep HG levels constant so i don't have to take high dose of pred cuz i am afraid of getting diabetes and having adrenal glad shutting off forever.
i also discovered that intense emotional distress and negative thinking and crying is able to make hg drop 2 or 3 points in two or three days, not from me but from aperson that was in the same room at the hospital with me. she was in emotional distress and hg dropped from 8 or 7 to 5 in two days cuz she was inconsolable but she got better in the end so i try to avoid intense emotional distress.
i also had adhd before AHIA and this makes life super hard but i organize myself to the tiniest detail, from meal prep to prepping outfits for the week. i also now i count on other ppl to figure out things for me and to fix things for me to take the mental pressure off of my mind. now i prioritize things better and focus more on things that really matter and really needs to get done, i do a lot of online research for many things to make life easier.

I tired B12 for two weeks and apparently makes things worse, I think the autoantibodies feed themselves on this B12 and my HG levels drop fast. I stopped after two weeks. The same is true for vitamin c for me. These two things makes things worse. I take magnesium bisglycinate and it works a little bit to raise HG levels for me. One pill per day. I also take iron and folic acid. Of course, Prednisone too, too pills per day. I always test the results two weeks after introducing a new supplement to see if is okay or not.

Have you tried taking vitamin B12? I got some from Hollland and Barratt and have felt really good since taking it. Am currently take 30 mg of prednisone daily and 20 mg Omeprazole and am feeling much better than I have for a long time with plenty of energy.
